How To Install Shockwave Player Without Admin
Posted : admin On 10.09.2019Since we can't make them admin's and they are supervised, is there a way to push a registry key that would Allow Shockwave to run on all sites without admin permissions. I know I can allow it from within IE on an admin user, but that does not help me out. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
- Effective April 9, 2019, Adobe Shockwave will be discontinued and the Shockwave player for Windows will no longer be available for download. Companies with existing Enterprise licenses for Adobe Shockwave will continue to receive support until the end of their current contracts.

I am trying to install Adobe Shockwave Player but am getting the following message almost as soon as i click on the Shockwave_Installer_Slim.exe
Error Opening File for writing

Cody chesnutt landing on a hundred rar. On 'What Kind of Cool (Will We Think of Next)', the Atlanta-born, Tallahassee-residing soul crooner ruminates on a question that has driven the music industry for decades.
It then gives me the option to Abort, Retry or Ignore.
I figured ignoring probably isn't sensible and retry won't go any further.
Any suggestions appreciated

Hello71Hello71Thanks for the replies.
I managed to get it working by downloading and installing
Shockwave_Installer_Full.exe
instead of the Shockwave_Installer_Slim.exe
Am using Firefox 3.6.6 to answer an earlier reply

OK, try this one: I have tried installing this software left, right, up,
down and safe mode and no matter what, I get the same error message: 'you do
not have access to make the required system configuration modifications.
Please rerun this installation from an administrator's accout.' Well, I
have. Over and over. Tried the built-in admin account - nada. I am listed
as a system administrator, and it don't work there either. Even tried the
'run as..' option..zip, zilch. So what's the sitch? Is there something
that needs to be turned on? Or what? Tried the ctl-alt-del bit too, didn't
work. What am I missing? Using WinXP Pro, SP2.
